Ibn Abidin, honoured as Allama Ibn Abidin (1198 - 1252 AH. ) is a well known Hanafi Sunni Islamic scholar, who was born in Damascus and died in. The Hanafi ( Arabic حنفي school is the oldest of the four schools of thought ( Madhhabs Sunni Islam is the largest denomination of Islam. Sunni Islam is also referred to as Ahl as-Sunnah wa’l-Jamā‘h (Arabic Ulema ( ar علماء,, singular ar عالِم,, "scholar" refers to the educated class of Muslim legal scholars engaged in the several Damascus ( دمشق,, also commonly known as الشام ash-Shām) is the capital and largest city of Syria.
