In 1992, Immature was formed in Los Angeles, California. The original members were Marques "Batman" Houston, Jerome "Romeo" Jones and Don "Half-Pint" Santos.
Santos was eventually replaced by Kelton "LDB" Kessee (the group's drummer) in 1993 due to personal reasons. Kessee remained a full-time member of the group.
Immature eventually felt that their band name was no longer a fitting description to describe them as people or musicians. In 1999, they changed their name to IMx.
In 2002, the group disbanded. Houston and Jones (under the name Young Rome) began solo careers, while Kessee continued his work as a record producer.
