Huaining County (怀宁县) is a county in Anhui under the jurisdiction of Anqing City. Anhui (in Chinese: 安徽 Ānhuī) is a province of the People's Republic of China. The government of Huaining County is located in Gaohe Town (Moved from Shipai Town on Jan. 18th, 2002).

As the former capital of Anhui Province, there are always standouts born in Huaining. Jiaxian Deng, the founder of Chinese A-bomb and guided missile, and Duxiu Chen, the first Secretary General of CPC, top the contemporary list.
Culture
Huaining County is also famous with the Huangmeixi Opera, which is one of the source of Beijing Opera.
