Independiente Records is a Record label formed in 1997 after Andy MacDonald had sold Go! Discs Records to PolyGram in 1996 for a reported £30Million Liberation Music is a boutique independent Australasian Record company, started in 1999 by Michael Gudinski and Warren Costello. They soon after packed up and moved to the UK where they recorded their debut record with (Coldplay Producer) Ken Nelson. It was then released September, 2005 on Bella Union to much critical acclaim including a 9/10 in NME and 7. 8/10 from Pitchfork. They spent much of the next 2 years touring mostly Europe, Australia and parts of the US. Howling Bells played at the 2007 NME Awards show. They have supported US band The Killers and Placebo around Europe, as well as Snow Patrol on their Australian tour. The Killers are an American rock band from Las Vegas Nevada. Formed in 2002 the group consists of Brandon Flowers ( vocals, keyboards Placebo are an Alternative rock band formed in London in 1994 currently comprising Brian Molko, Stefan Olsdal and Steve Forrest Snow Patrol are a Northern Irish / Scottish Alternative rock band which formed in Dundee Scotland, The band achieved worldwide success due to Their song Low Happening is featured on the soundtrack to EA Sport's Rugby 08. Rugby 08 is the 2007 release in the Rugby series by EA Sports. They are currently working on their 2nd album, as yet to be titled, with Dan Grech-Marguerat, who has engineered records alongside producer Nigel Godrich, including Radiohead, Air and Paul McCartney.
