Hoh is a Native American tribe in western Washington state in the United States. The original Hoh language was actually the Quinault language. Though Hoh are considered to be a band of the Quileute tribe, they are originally related to the Quinault tribe, but after marrying together with the Quileute tribe, the Hoh tribe became a bilingual tribe, speaking both Quileute and Quinault, until, ultimately, just speaking Quilute, thus explaining why the Hoh tribe is considered a band of Quileute. The lifestyle of the Hoh, like many Northwest Coast tribes, involved the fishing of salmon. Salmon is the common name for several species of Fish of the family Salmonidae.
