The Hockeyroos have been declared Australia's Team of the Year five times and were awarded the Best Australian Team at the 2000 Olympic Games by unanimous verdict. "I am proud and happy to proclaim that you have presented to the world the best Olympic Games ever Their major achievement would probably be the collection of three gold medals from four olympic games in a row, but they also have many other successes.
Another noteworthy achievement is Rechelle Hawkes' twelve-year Olympic career with the Hockeyroos (eight as captain) during which she became only the second Australian woman ever to win gold medals at three separate games (the first being Dawn Fraser)

The Game Development camp aimed towards fine tuning all players skills before the state championships. It also gives state selectors a chance to see many players in action.
All the participants of the camp are grateful of Bec's dedication to her role of coach and all benefited from this experience of having an elite player coach them.
The camp pulled together representative players from associations all over New South Wales and joined them in teams for the week long camp. This year the camps were named after the hockey capitals of the world and the winners of the fun competition were USA.
The participants of this camp are the future stars of Australia and delighted in seeing where they could be in as soon as 5 years time.
