Here and Now (Here & Now) is a public radio magazine program produced by WBUR in Boston, Massachusetts, and distributed across the United States by Public Radio International. WBUR refers to one of two stations in Massachusetts WBUR AM and FM both owned by Boston University. The United States of America —commonly referred to as the Public Radio International ( PRI) is a Minneapolis -based American Public radio organization with locations in Boston, New York The one-hour program airs Monday to Friday at noon locally and generally at 11am, noon or 1pm on affiliate stations. The show focuses on US and international news, but also delivers arts and culture coverage, following a radio format divided into five segments: A) news flash; B) feature story; C) secondary news; D) secondary feature; and E) arts and events. Host Robin Young joined the show not long after its inception and outlasted a series of co-hosts, including founding co-host and executive producer Bruce Gellerman. Robin Young (born Robin Cardwell Youngs is a Boston -based radio host and local television personality with work reaching back into the mid-1970s when she hosted Evening A staff of about ten full-time employees and interns helps her produce the show each day. In 2005, WBUR had announced that the show would return to its roots as a local current affairs program, but a distribution deal with PRI changed that plan.
