The Hempfield School District is a school district of 7218 students educated in 10 schools by 420 teachers in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Lancaster Newspapers Inc is the owner and publisher of three major newspapers and a Spanish periodical in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. School districts are a form of Special-purpose district which serves to operate the local public primary and secondary schools Lancaster County Pennsylvania, known as the Garden Spot of America since the 18th century is located in the southeastern part of the state of Pennsylvania [1] It is a member of Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit (IU) 13. Hempfield school has many different extra curricular activities such as but not limiting to; Football, Track and Field, Cheerleading,Swimming, Dance and Arts.

The majority of students are white. There are 24 native students, 193 Asian students, and 193 black students, with 410 students of all races considering themselves hispanic or latino. [1]
