Heenvliet (51°52′N, 4°15′E) is a town in the Dutch province of South Holland. The Netherlands ( Dutch:, ˈnedərlɑnt is the European part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which consists of the Netherlands the Netherlands South Holland ( Dutch:) is a province situated on the North Sea in the western part of the Netherlands. It is a part of the municipality of Bernisse, and lies about 7 km south of Maassluis, on the Brielse Maas. Bernisse (population 12684 in 2004 is a Municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. Maassluis (population 32847 in 2004 is a town in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland.

Heenvliet was a separate municipality until 1980, when it became part of Bernisse. [1]

In 2001, the town of Heenvliet had 2675 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0. 36 km², and contained 1064 residences. [2] The wider statistical district of Heenvliet, which covers that part of the "Polder Heenvliet" that is in Bernisse, has a population of around 2700. A polder is a low-lying tract of land enclosed by embankments known as dikes, that forms an artificial hydrological entity meaning it has no connection with [3]
