Starting at Springvale Rd, Vermont Sth. Heading east it will intersect EastLink with a full freeway junction, it will then head north east finally joining Mooroolbark Rd, Lilydale.

The construction of this freeway has not been discussed for a number of years and it is therefore unlikely that it will be built. However, in the 2008 Melway Street Directory, the route is the only one shown in key maps as 'proposed', inviting further speculation of the viability of a North Eastern freeway route.
