Haze is traditionally an atmospheric phenomenon where dust, smoke and other dry particles obscure the clarity of the sky. Temperature and layers The temperature of the Earth's atmosphere varies with altitude the mathematical relationship between temperature and altitude varies among five The WMO manual of codes includes a classification of horizontal obscuration into categories of fog, ice fog, steam fog, mist, haze, smoke, volcanic ash, dust, sand and snow. [1] Sources for haze particles include farming (ploughing in dry weather), traffic, industry, forest fires and peat field fire. Seen from afar (e. g. approaching airplane), haze appears brownish, while mist is bluish-grey. Mist is a phenomenon of small droplets suspended in Air. It can occur as part of natural Weather or Volcanic activity and is common in cold air above Whereas haze formation is a phenomenon of dry air, mist formation is a phenomenon of humid air. However, haze particles may act as condensation nuclei for later mist droplet formation.

Haze is also use to describe turbidity in clear glass or plastic as a percent value, or turbidity in beer or wine. Turbidity is the cloudiness or haziness of a fluid caused by individual particles ( suspended solids) that are generally invisible to the Naked eye Beer is the world's oldest and most widely consumed Alcoholic beverage and the third most popular drink overall after water and tea Wine is an Alcoholic beverage made from the fermentation of Grape juice

Haze often occurs when dust and smoke particles accumulate in relatively dry air. Smog is a kind of Air pollution; the word "smog" is a Portmanteau of Smoke and Fog. When weather conditions block the dispersal of smoke and other pollutants they concentrate and form a usually low-hanging shroud that impairs visibility and may become a respiratory health threat. In Meteorology, visibility is a measure of the Distance at which an object or light can be clearly discerned In Animal physiology, respiration is the transport of Oxygen from the outside air to the cells within tissues and the transport of Carbon dioxide Health is a state of complete physical mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity Industrial pollution can result in dense haze, which is known as smog. Smog is a kind of Air pollution; the word "smog" is a Portmanteau of Smoke and Fog.

Since 1991 haze has been a particularly acute problem in Southeast Asia. In response the ASEAN countries agreed on a Regional Haze Action Plan (1997) and later signed the Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution (2002). The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, commonly referred to as ASEAN, ˈɑːsiːɑːn AH-see-ahn in English (the Official language The ASEAN Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution is an Environmental agreement signed in 2002 between all ASEAN nations to bring Haze Under the agreement the ASEAN secretariat hosts a co-ordination and support unit. Obscuration

Haze causes issues in the area of terrestrial photography, where the penetration of large amounts of dense atmosphere may be necessary to image distant subjects. This results in the visual effect of a loss of contrast in the subject, due to the effect of light scattering through the haze particles. About CONTRAST CONTRAST is a Multidisciplinary alliance bringing together key skills and expertise to generate new knowledge on biological environmental Scattering is a general physical process whereby some forms of Radiation, such as Light, Sound or moving particles for example are forced to deviate from Particulates, alternatively referred to as particulate matter (PM or fine particles, are tiny particles of solid or liquid suspended in a gas Unlike other atmospheric effects such as cloud and fog, haze is spectrally selective: shorter (blue) wavelengths are scattered more, and longer (red/infrared) wavelengths are scattered less. Infrared ( IR) radiation is Electromagnetic radiation whose Wavelength is longer than that of Visible light, but shorter than that of For this reason many super-telephoto lenses often incorporate yellow filters or coatings to enhance image contrast. An optical filter is a device which selectively transmits light having certain properties (often a particular range of Wavelengths that is range of Colours

Infrared (IR) imaging may also be used to penetrate haze over long distances, with a combination of IR-pass optical filters (such as the Wratten 89B) and IR-sensitive detector. Wratten numbers are a labeling system for Optical filters usually for photographic use.

Turbidity

With production of plastic films haze has technical significance as the percentage of light that is deflected more than 2. 5° from the incoming light direction. [3]
