Hate Studies is an interdisciplinary curriculum being developed by a consortium of academics, scholars, human rights groups, and others.
The process grew out of conversations sparked by the Gonzaga University Institute for Action against Hate which held a Conference to Establish the Field of Hate Studies in Spokane, Washington, March 20, 2004. A number of papers presented at the conference were published in a special 'Journal of Hate Studies issue on establishing the field of Hate Studies. [1]
