The Hassi R'mel integrated solar combined cycle power station is a hybrid power station that is to be built near Hassi R'mel in Algeria, thought to be the first of its kind. Hybrid Power in this context describes the combination of a power producer and the means to store that power in an energy storage medium A power station (also referred to as generating station, power plant or powerhouse) is an industrial facility for the generation of Hassi R'Mel (حاسي الرمل is a town in Algeria located near the the 12th largest gas field worldwide.
