Biography

Early life

Love was born in Vermont and left home at a young age to become a sailor, supposedly even captaining a ship by the age of 15. Vermont ( is a state in the New England region of the northeastern United States of America. He worked in a number of jobs around the country, then joined the army as a volunteer to fight in the Mexican American War, where he gained fame as a courier along the Rio Grande and the Texas border. The United States Army is a military organization whose primary mission is to "provide necessary forces and capabilities. Career

With the California Gold Rush in 1850, Love like many others came to California to seek his fortune, but was unsuccessful. The California Gold Rush (1848&ndash1855 began on January 24 1848 when Gold was discovered by James Marshall at Sutter's Mill in Coloma, California Instead, he worked as a bounty hunter, capturing Pedro Gonzalez, a member of Murrieta's gang who had been accused of murder, in June 1852.
