Harry Mark Christopher Judd,[1] commonly known as Harry Judd (born December 23, 1985 in Chelmsford, Essex, England) is the drummer in the British pop band McFly, along with fellow band members Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter and Danny Jones. Early life

Harry Judd was born in Chelmsford, in Essex, England. Chelmsford is the county town of Essex, England and the principal settlement of the borough of Chelmsford. Essex is a county in the East of England. The County town is Chelmsford, and the highest point of the county is Chrishall Common England is a Country which is part of the United Kingdom. Its inhabitants account for more than 83% of the total UK population whilst its mainland Judd is the youngest of three children, he has a brother named Thomas and a sister named Katherine. As a young boy, he enjoyed playing cricket, and riding a tractor around the family estate. He was educated at Uppingham School, the school was also attended by ex-Busted member Charlie Simpson, now lead singer with the band Fightstar. Uppingham School is a co-educational Independent school situated in the small town of Uppingham in Rutland, England. Charles Robert Simpson (born 7 June, 1985 in Woodbridge, Suffolk, England) was the youngest member of the reasonably successful Fightstar are a four-piece Post-hardcore band from London, England. Judd's brother, Thomas, was friends with Charlie Simpson when they attended Uppingham. The public school was also attended by Stephen Fry and Johnny Vaughan. Judd started drumming at around the age of sixteen, 2 years before he joined McFly. According to an interview, he stated that he was self taught for a while then enlisted the help of Nick Fance. Fance later became his first drum teacher. Generally, he prefers not to sing in McFly, although when on tour he once sang a version of 'Hero' by Enrique Iglesias. He also played the drums in Busted's music video for "Crashed the Wedding" which was released in October 2003, before Island began generating the buzz around McFly. Judd has many musical influences and claims his favourite are Incubus, Dashboard Confessional, Stone Sour, The Doors, Blink-182, The Used, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and My Chemical Romance, with his all time favourite song being 'Hey Jude'. Incubus is a Grammy -nominated Alternative rock band based out of Calabasas, California. Dashboard Confessional is an American rock band from Boca Raton Florida, led by Singer-songwriter Chris Carrabba. Stone Sour is a three time Grammy -nominated American rock band based in Des Moines IA United States. Judd lived together with the rest of the McFly bandmembers for two years before they moved to two separate flats in 2005, where the band lived two members per flat for a matter of months, when bandmate Tom Fletcher announced that he would be moving into a house. Judd trained in England to run the 2008 Flora marathon,London Marathon in support of Teenage Cancer Trust and BIRT (Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust). The London Marathon is a popular road marathon that has been held each year in London since 1981 usually in April Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity that focuses on the needs of Teenagers and young adults with Cancer, Leukaemia, Hodgkin’s and related diseases by providing The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT is a provider of specialist Brain injury Rehabilitation in the UK. When the band took a couple of months off in Australia, he continued his training and encouragement of fans to donate through his website. He completed the run in just under 4 hours.

McFly

Judd is the drummer in pop group McFly, and has been playing the drums since the age of sixteen. The piano is a Musical instrument played by means of a keyboard that produces sound by striking steel strings with Felt covered hammers In March 2006, Judd participated in Sport Relief's 'All Out For India' where a team of celebrities travelled to India as part of a cricket team, to help raise money for children.

Judd has also helped co-write several songs on the various McFly albums. These songs include: "Met This Girl" (Room on the Third Floor), "She Falls Asleep" (Wonderland) and "Little Joanna" (Motion In The Ocean). Room on the 3rd Floor is McFly 's first Album, released in 2004 which debuted at number one in the UK albums chart, breaking the world record Motion in the Ocean is McFly 's third album and was released in the United Kingdom on November 6, 2006. Judd describes himself as being thrown in at the deep end with lyric writing on the first album as he'd never done it before, but describes it as being 'refreshing'.
