Hanoi National University of Education (Abbreviation: HNUE; Vietnamese: Đại học Sư phạm Hà Nội) is a public university in Vietnam. For the HTML tag see HTML element. Its main mission is to educate highly-qualified teachers and science researchers. It also opens a national high school to nurture gifted students, known as HNUE High school for gifted students.

Established in 1951 with the name: National University of Science Education, the school was headed by Prof Lê Văn Thiêm, the father of Vietnam's Mathematics society. Lê Văn Thiêm ( March 29, 1918 – June 3, 1991) was one of the most prominent scientists In 1956, it was merged with National University of Arts and Social Science Education and renamed Hanoi University of Education. In 1993, the school, the University of Hanoi and the Foreign Language Teachers’ Training College became the main posts for the establishment of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
