The Guys Gone Wild video series is the male equivalent to Girls Gone Wild by Mantra Entertainment. The Girls Gone Wild franchise created by Joseph R Francis, is a series by the production company Mantra Films Inc These video tapes and DVDs feature much the same content as the Girls equivalent, only instead showing young men performing for the camera — e. g. , in the shower, playing football naked, etc.
The first set of three videos, retailing for the same price as the Girls Gone Wild tapes, came out on July 13, 2004. On September 13, 2005, the second set of videos was released. Much like subsequent Girls Gone Wild releases, these are noted on the press release as being slightly "more explicit" than the first round.
In an article on the video series in The Taipei Times [1], Bill Horn of Mantra Entertainment notes there are sexist double standards in these videos. Sexism is the belief or attitude that one Gender or Sex is inferior to or less valuable than the other and can also refer to a Hatred or distrust towards A double standard refers to one class of entities being treated differently from another class of entities and implies an unfair or unjustified differentiation For example, in the Girls Gone Wild series, sometimes the young women kiss, while the first round of tapes for the guys series, despite being aware of the large gay market, does not currently have that feature. In the English language, gay is an Adjective that in modern usage refers to Homosexuality.
