Gunnerales is an order of flowering plants. Gunnera is a genus of Herbaceous Flowering plants some of them gigantic Plants are living Organisms belonging to the kingdom Plantae. In the Cronquist system (1981) Gunneraceae was placed in the Haloragales and Myrothamnaceae in the Hamamelidales. A system of plant taxonomy, the Cronquist system is a scheme for the classification of flowering plants (or Angiosperms) Haloragales is a botanical name for an order of Flowering plants. Hamamelidales is the Botanical name of an order of Flowering plants.
Although Gunnerales were included in the core eudicots in APG I and II (1998, 2003), the APWebsite excludes them because of their largely plesiomorphic floral morphology.
