Group 9 is a rugby league competition in New South Wales, Australia based around the surrounding areas of Wagga Wagga. The Competition is now played in four Grades, Under 16, known as the Sullivan Cup, Under 18, known as the Weissel Cup, Reserve Grade, known as the Burmiester Shield and the XXXX Gold Group 9 First Grade. XXXX (pronounced four-X) is a Brand of Beers brewed in Milton, Brisbane by Queensland brewers Castlemaine

Group 9 Rugby League was formed at a meeting in Harden in 1923. Harden-Murrumburrah is a township and the centre of Harden Shire and is located in the South West Slopes region of New South Wales in Australia
