Grid Analysis and Display System - plotting software used in atmospheric sciences and climatology. Meteorology (from Greek grc μετέωρος metéōros, "high in the sky" and grc -λογία -logia) is the Interdisciplinary Climatology (from Greek grc κλίμα klima, "region zone" and grc -λογία -logia) is the study of Climate, scientifically

The Grid Analysis and Display System (GrADS) is a software used in atmospheric sciences and climatology to display meteorolgical fields such as pressure, temperature, or wind speeds. It allows to read gridded meteorological data in different formats such as netCDF or GRIB and plot time series of displays from several identical datasets with differing times. NetCDF ( Network Common Data Form) is a set of software libraries and self-describing machine-independent data formats that support the creation access and sharing of array-oriented GRIB ( GRIdded Binary) is a mathematically concise data format commonly used in Meteorology to store historical and forecast weather data It uses ctl mechanism to join differing time group datasets.
