The Grey-crowned Munia Lonchura nevermanni is a species of estrildid finch breeding in Indonesia & Papua New Guinea. Erwin Stresemann ( November 22, 1889 - November 20, 1972) was a German Ornithologist. The estrildid finches are small Passerine Birds of the Old World tropics and Australasia. The Republic of Indonesia ( (Republik Indonesia is a Country in Southeast Asia. Papua New Guinea (or ˈpæpjuːə in Tok Pisin: Papua Niugini) officially the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, is a country in Oceania It has an estimated global extent of occurrence of 20,000 to 50,000 km².

It is found in moist savanna & wetlands habitats. A wetland is an area of Land consisting of Soil that is Saturated with Moisture, such as a Swamp, Marsh, or Bog The status of the species is evaluated as Least Concern.
