The Green Party of Delaware is the state party organization for Delaware of the Green Party of the United States. Delaware ( is a state located on the Atlantic Coast in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. One of the Political parties in the United States, and similar in mission to many of the worldwide Green Parties, the Greens have been active as a third party
The Green Party of Delaware qualified for statewide ballot status in March 2000 and has retained ballot status ever since. Ballot access rules called nomination rules outside the US, regulate the conditions under which a candidate or Political party is either entitled to stand for election
In 2006 the Green Party of Delaware ran Michael Berg a retired teacher and antiwar activist, for Congress in the 2006 midterm elections. Michael Berg (b March 3 1945) was a candidate for Congress in the state of Delaware on the Green Party ticket in the The United States House of Representatives is one of the two chambers of the United States Congress; the other is the Senate. The 2006 United States midterm elections were held on Tuesday November 7 2006. He is most well-known as the father of Nick Berg, one of the first American civilians to be abducted and executed by insurgents in Iraq.
