"Far Behind" is also the band's first new song recorded with the current line-up of Mike Ness (vocals, guitars), Jonny "2 Bags" Wickersham (guitar), Brent Harding (bass) and Charlie Quintana (drums). Michael James Ness (born April 3, 1962) is a prolific Guitarist vocalist, and chief Songwriter for the Punk rock band Jonny "2 Bags" Wickersham (born May 26, 1968) is the former guitarist for The Cadillac Tramps as well as Youth Brigade and U Brent Harding (born March 3, 1967) is the bass player for the famous California punk group Social Distortion. Charlie Quintana was born in 1962, in El Paso TX Quintana is the Drummer for the old school punk band Social Distortion, who joined in
Tracks 4 through 9 have been re-recorded for this album (the rights to the original recordings belong to Epic Records, the band's former major label that released them as singles and as part of their respective albums), while the others are the original recordings. Epic Records is an American Record label. It is owned and operated by Sony Music Entertainment. The limited edition vinyl for this album contains an interview with Mike Ness. [1][2]
A bonus track, a studio recording of a new Social Distortion cover version of the Chuck Berry classic "Maybellene", is available through the iTunes music store in the U. S. On the UK version the bonus track is "1945" (13th Floor Records version), which was previously released as a single, as a B-side on the Story of My Life EP, and on Mainliner. " Story of My Life " is a 1990 song by Social Distortion, written by Mike Ness, which was released as a single and also appeared on their self-titled Mainliner Wreckage From the Past is a collection of early recordings by Social Distortion.
As of July 11, 2007, the album has sold 13,462 copies in the US. [3]
