Grasbroek is a former mining colony located north of the centrum of Heerlen and served the mine Oranje-Nassau I. Heerlen ( is a City and a Municipality in the southeastern Netherlands The municipality is the second largest in the province of Limburg.

Grasbroek houses the Patronaatsgebouw (Jos Wielders (1883-1949)), build in 1920 it is one of the earliest examples of Amsterdam School outside Amsterdam.
