The Grapevine Mountains are located along the eastern border of California in the United States. California ( is a US state on the West Coast of the United States, along the Pacific Ocean. Nevada ( is a state located in the western region of the United States of America. The range reaches an elevation of 8,738 feet at Grapevine Peak, near Phinney Canyon on the Nevada side. The range lies in Inyo County California, and Nye County, Nevada. Inyo County is located in east-central California in the southwestern United States, on the east side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and south of Yosemite Nye County is a County located in the US state of Nevada. As of the 2000 census, the population was 32485 Daylight Pass is at the southern end of the range. Most of the Grapevine Mountain chain is in Death Valley National Park. Death Valley National Park is a mostly Arid United States National Park located east of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in southern Inyo County
