Since its beginning, Granite Gear has provided sponsorship aid and supply to packers and testers undertaking high-adventure endeavors. Most recently they have released the backpack designed for ultrahiker Justin "Trauma" Lichter, who logged more than 10,000 miles of hiking between November of 2005 and 2006. The three other groups sponsored currently are "Greg and Deia", a pair hiking the Andes Mountain range, Chris "Rafiki" Hansen who will through-hike the AT this year, and a pair named Pamela and Geoff, who are crossing Canada in a canoe.
