Grace Kennedy (1782-1825) was a Scottish writer. The Scots people ( Scots Gaelic: Albannaich) are a Nation and an Ethnic group indigenous to Scotland. She was born at Pinmore, Ayrshire, but at an early age removed to Edinburgh. Ayrshire (Siorrachd Inbhir Àir ʃir̴əxg̊ iɲiɾʲˈaːɾʲ is a Registration county, and former administrative county in south-west Scotland, Edinburgh ( ˈɛdɪnb(ərə Dùn Èideann) is the Capital of Scotland and is its second largest city after Glasgow. She wrote novels of a religious tendency which had no small vogue in their day. She is best known as the author of Father Clement (1823), an anti-Roman-Catholic novel, which ran through some dozen editions and was translated into several languages. Other books of hers are:
