The Government Buildings in Suva are the offices of the executive wing of Government of Fiji. Suva is the Capital and largest city of Fiji. It is located on the southeast coast of the island of Viti Levu, in the Central Fiji (Matanitu ko Viti फ़िजी officially the Republic of the Fiji Islands (Matanitu Tu-Vaka-i-koya ko Viti फ़िजी द्वीप समूह गणराज्य Built in the late 1930s, the buildings house the Prime Minister of Fiji's offices, the High Court, and government ministries. The 1930s were described as an abrupt shift to more radical and conservative lifestyles as countries were struggling to find a solution to the Great Depression. As a former British colony, Fiji has largely adopted British political models and follows the Westminster, or Cabinet system of government in which the The High Court of Fiji is one of three courts established by Chapter 9 of the Constitution, the others being the Court of Appeal and the Parliament was held here until the 1987 coups; since then it has met in new buildings in the Suva suburb of Muanikau. The Fiji coups of 1987 resulted in the overthrow of the elected government of Fijian Prime Minister Timoci Bavadra, the deposition of Elizabeth II

The buildings should not be confused with Government House to the south on the same street (Victoria Parade). Government House is the official residence of the President of Fiji.
