Gordon Le Pard is a noted member of the Dorset Coast Forum. He has so far produced several articles and two books.
The first of these books (co-written with Richard Burden), A New View of Dorset was published in 1996 by Dorset Books. Richard Haines Burden (born 1 September 1954) is a UK Labour Party Politician. It was the first comprehensive study of the rich and varied landscape of Dorset. The second and most recent book (written solely by Le Pard) was Shipwrecks of the Dorset Coast. It was published in 2005 by Halsgrove Publishing. This Book contains a wide and fascinating array of photographs of Dorset Shipwrecks. A shipwreck can refer to a wrecked ship or to the event that caused the wreck such as the striking of something that causes the ship to sink the stranding of the ship on rocks
