The Goodman School of Drama is now renamed The Theatre School at DePaul University. DePaul University is a private institution of Higher education and Research in Chicago, Illinois, U Founded in 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, a city with a rich theatrical heritage, the Goodman School became part of DePaul University in 1978. The Theatre School is the Midwest region's oldest acting conservatory and is ranked as one of the top professional theatrical training programs in the United States, enrolling approximately 300 students from North America and abroad. The Theatre School's main performance space is the Merle Reskin Theatre (formerly Blackstone Theatre) in Downtown Chicago. Building The building was designed by the firm of Marshall and Fox, who also designed the adjacent Blackstone Hotel in 1909
