The Godfrey Burley Group was set up in 1996 by East Yorkshire Motor Services director Godfrey Burley by taking over East Yorkshire Travel and National Holidays (Coaches). East Yorkshire Motor Services (EYMS operates a fleet of approximately 350 buses and coaches throughout Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, the Godfrey was one of two directors who owned EYMS at the time, together with Peter Shipp. It contained depots at Kingston-upon-Hull and Stockton-on-Tees. Kingston upon Hull ( almost invariably referred Stockton-on-Tees is a market town in North East England. It is the major settlement in the unitary authority area and Borough of Stockton-on-Tees. The group was sold to Wallace Arnold.
