Giuseppe Busso ( 1913 - January 3, 2006) was an Alfa Romeo and Ferrari technical designer. Orazio Satta Puliga ( October 6, 1910 in Torino - 1974 was an Italian automobile designer known from several Alfa Romeo designs His main responsibility was racing car engines.
In 1946 he became technical director for Ferrari and took part in developing the Ferrari 125 Sport 1. 5 L V12 engine. Busso was back at Alfa in 1948 and worked there until 1977. He was in charge of mechanical engineering for all of the Alfa Romeos. He took part in creation of the Alfa Romeo 1900 and Giulietta in the 1950s. The Alfa Romeo 1900 was a sports sedan designed by Orazio Satta for the Alfa Romeo company in 1950 With the Giulietta, Busso introduced the Alfa Romeo Twin Cam engine. The all alloy Alfa Romeo Twin Cam engine series was an Inline-4 cylinder engine produced by Alfa Romeo from 1954 to 1994 Another creation of his was the Alfa Romeo V6 engine which was designed in the early 70s and introduced in the 1979 Alfa 6. Alfa Romeo' s in-house V6 engine design made its initial début in 1979 in the Alfa 6, later attaining fame under the hood of the Alfa Romeo 164. The Alfa Romeo Alfa 6 is an Executive car produced by the Italian automaker Alfa Romeo from 1979 to 1986 [1]
He died in Arese, Milan. Arese is a Comune (municipality in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about northwest of Milan Milan (Milano Milan (listen) is one of the largest cities in Italy, located in the plains of Lombardy.
