After murdering Admiral Kellarny to keep him from discovering his continued work, Ginias then murders the entire Apsalus development team so the newly completed Apsalus III would be his, and his alone. Ginias and Aina go out in the Apsalus III to confront the Earth Federation Forces who had discovered the mountain research facility, but when Aina finally voices her objections to Ginias' underhanded tactics he shoots her, throwing her out of the Apsalus III's cockpit and nearly killing her.
