Gil Montilla (born September 11, 1876) was a Nacionalista Party member from Negros Occidental of the Philippines Senate. For National Parties in other countries see National Party. The Nacionalista Party ( Filipino: Partido Nacionalista) is Negros Occidental is a province of the Philippines located in the Western Visayas region. The Philippines ( Filipino: Pilipinas, officially known as the Republic of the Philippines (fil ''Republika ng Pilipinas'' RP He acted as Speaker of the National Assembly from 1935 to 1938. The Speaker of the Philippine House of Representatives is the presiding officer of the lower house of Congress, the House of Representatives. The National Assembly of the Philippines refers to Legislature of both the Commonwealth of the Philippines from 1935 to 1941 and the Republic Prior to his political career, he was president of the Isabela Sugar Company[1]. Isabela is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Negros Occidental, Philippines. A barangay and Gil Montilla National High School in Sipalay City are named after him.
