Gigelorum (or Giol-Daoram) is a beast of Scottish folklore. Scottish mythology may refer to any of the mythologies of Scotland.
Gigelorum was believed to be the smallest creature. It lived in the ear of a mite and could not be seen with the naked eye. Mites, along with Ticks belong to the subclass Acarina (also known as Acari and the class Arachnida Mites are among the most diverse and successful Eyes are organs that detect Light, and send signals along the Optic nerve to the visual areas of the brain
