George Savarese is the longtime host of World Affairs Council's Sunday "Global Press Conference," on KQV radio. KQV is a Radio station in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Educational career

Since 1997, George Savarese has been a teacher at Mt. Lebanon High School in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mt Lebanon School District is the public school system for residents of Mt The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania ( often colloquially referred to as PA (its abbreviation by natives and Northeasterners is a state located in the Northeastern His core responsibilities are 11th grade U.S. History and 12th Grade International Relations.

As the school's National Forensic League coach,[4] Savarese guided his students to the 2006 state championship. The National Forensic League is one of three major US national Organizations which direct high school competitive speech events [5] He is also one of the Mt. Lebanon High school Model United Nations sponsors, along with fellow social studies teacher Peter DiNardo; the MUN team has consistently been among the premier programs in the region. Model United Nations (informally abbreviated as Model UN or MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants

For his work at the High School, he has been named a Teacher of Excellence by the Teacher Excellence Center.

Personal life

Savarese was married in May of 2006 and currently has one child with Tyra. The pair resides in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. Charleroi is a Borough in Washington County, Pennsylvania, along the Monongahela River, 25 miles south of Pittsburgh. Savarese has an outstanding knowledge of world affairs.
