Geodashing is an outdoor sport in which teams of players use GPS receivers to find and visit randomly-selected "dashpoints" (also called "waypoints") around the world. The first game organized by gpsgames.org ran for two months (June and July 2001); each subsequent game has run for one month. Players are encouraged to take pictures at the dashpoints and upload them to the site.
