Gentianaceae, or the Gentian family is a family of Flowering plants of 87 genera and over 1500 species This species is much like Bottle Gentian (Gentiana andrewsii) except with an upright habit and yellowish-white colored flowers. Gentiana andrewsii ( Bottle gentian or Closed gentian) is a herbaceous species of flowering plant in the Gentian family Gentianaceae. Plants start to bloom a few weeks earlier than Bottle Gentian and the flowers are more open at the tops. Synonyms include Gentiana flavida A. Gray
