A general plan is the policy of acceptable land uses in each jurisdiction. Land use' is also often used to refer to the distinct land use types in Zoning. In Law, jurisdiction (from the Latin ius iuris meaning "law" and dicere meaning "to speak" is the practical Authority [1] Each city and county adopts and updates their General Plan to guide the growth and land development of their community, for both the current period and the long term. A city is an Urban area with a large Population and a particular Administrative, Legal, or Historical status A county is a Land area of Regional Government within a larger State.
