Gary Blore is a Rear admiral of the United States Coast Guard. Rear admiral is a Naval Commissioned officer rank above that of a Commodore and Captain, and below that of a Vice Admiral.
Blore attended the Coast Guard Academy, and graduated in 1975. The United States Coast Guard Academy ( USCGA) is the Military academy of the United States Coast Guard. From 1977 until 1982, he served as a helicopter aircraft commander at Coast Guard Air Station Brooklyn, NY. Brooklyn (named after the Dutch town Breukelen) is one of the five boroughs of New York City.
From 2002 to 2004, Blore served as the Coast Guard's Chief, Office of Budget and Programs for the Assistant Commandant for Planning, Resources and Procurement with a $7 billion budget.
Since April 17th, 2006, he's Program Executive Officer (PEO) of the Integrated Deepwater System Program. The Integrated Deepwater System Program ( IDS Program or Deepwater) is the 25-year program to recapitalize the United States Coast Guard's equipment
