Galibi Order The order under consideration -Galibi order- comes from the tradition of Qadiri-Rufai school – the integration of the earliest and the most popular orders established in Islamdom. Qadiriyyah ( Arabic: القادريه, Turkish: Kadirilik) (also Transliterated Kadri, Elkadry, Kadray The Rifa'i (also Rufa'i) are a Sufi order most commonly found in the Arab Middle East but also in Turkey and the Balkans. It has been called as Qadiri-Rufai order until the order branched off its ancestor school in 1993, and began to be called after the name of its sheikh, Galip Hassan Kuscuoglu ( see Appendix B and O). Galib Hassan Kuscuoglu, the sheikh of Galibi Order, was born in March 27 1919 in Çorum. Presently, Galibi order is among the great Sufi orders in the world with respect to its organizational structure and the number of its Turkish and foreign members. The order has its central dergah in Ankara-Hüseyingazi, (see Appendix C) and has various branch dergahs all over Turkey (e. g. , Istanbul, Çorum, Adana, Gaziantep, Kütahya, Isparta, Antalya) ( see Appendix N for the Galibi Dergah in Antalya). Galibi order achieved international acclaim through its presentation in national and international printed and audio-visual media. [1]

Galibi Order is a branch of Sufi tariqa which had aroused from the integration of Qadri and Rifa'i Orders. Sufism ( تصوّف - taṣawwuf, Persian: صوفی‌گری sufigari, Turkish: tasavvuf, Urdu: تصوف Tariqah ( ar طريقه; pl طرق; Ṭuruq or Persian: Tarighat, Turkish: Tarikat) means "way" Qadiriyyah ( Arabic: القادريه, Turkish: Kadirilik) (also Transliterated Kadri, Elkadry, Kadray The Rifa'i (also Rufa'i) are a Sufi order most commonly found in the Arab Middle East but also in Turkey and the Balkans. It had been systemised in the 21st Century according to H. Galip Hassan Kuscuoglu’s understanding of the Religion and Life Perspective who accepts the civilisation and technology in Sufi thinking except the ones that are considered as Haram, as the spirit of the Religion without going away from the Judgements of the Prophet. Galib Hassan Kuscuoglu, the sheikh of Galibi Order, was born in March 27 1919 in Çorum.
