A galactogogue is a substance which is used to increase the production of milk in humans and other animals. Milk is an opaque white liquid produced by the Mammary glands of female Mammals (including Monotremes. It may be synthetic, plant-derived, or endogenous. The word endogenous means "arising from within" the opposite of Exogenous.
