Gail Ann Dorsey (born 20 November 1962) is an American bass guitarist and vocalist with a distinguished session career, most notably her long association with David Bowie. She studied the bass at the California Institute of the Arts. The California Institute of the Arts, commonly referred to as CalArts, is located in Valencia California, a suburb of Los Angeles California. She sings backing vocals on many of David Bowie's tracks on the Reality album.
