GOArt (Göteborg Organ Art Center) is a research center based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Gothenburg ( Swedish:) /jœte'bɔrj/ is a city, a municipality, and an urban area on the west-coast of Sweden. The institute conducts research in organ building and organ performance from a wide variety of angles.

GOArt was founded by among others Hans Davidsson in the late 1980s. Hans Davidsson (1958-) is a Swedish Organist and teacher well known all over the world In 2000 it became a department of the University of Gothenburg's Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts. The University of Gothenburg ( Swedish: Göteborgs universitet) is a University in the city of Gothenburg in Sweden. Although it is part of the university it is externally funded through various research grants.

Several organs has been built at GOArt's organ building workshop. Organs have been delivered to Cornell University, Korean National University of Arts[1] and an organ is currently being built for the Eastman School of Music[2]. The Eastman School of Music (also known more simply as The Eastman School, Eastman, or ESM) is a music conservatory located in the The workshop also produces clavichords. Research projects

COLLAPSE

GOArt acts as the coordinator of COLLAPSE, a research project working to find ways to protect historical organ pipes from corrosion. [3] The title of the project is an acronym for Corrosion of Lead and Lead-Tin Alloys of Organ Pipes in Europe.
