Fyn-Mah is a main character in Geomancer and an important secondary character in the rest of The Well of Echoes quartet. Physical Appearance

Fyn-Mah is petite with the black hair and dark eyes common to natives of Tiksi. Tiksi is a town created by Ian Irvine for his The Three Worlds Cycle and is located in the fictional world of Santhenar. She has honey coloured skin and a frozen beauty, that deters rather than attracts. Fyn-Mah is always in complete control, rarely allowing her emotions to touch her features.

Though she is small, Fyn-Mah can dominate people many times her size with a single look. She is also a mancer of considerable skill as all querists must be. Mancer is a term that describes a practitioner of the Secret Art in Ian Irvine 's Three Worlds Cycle.

Fyn-Mah is originally the Querist, chief of the municipal intelligence agency, at Tiksi. The Council of Scrutators is a fictional Council who have control of the world of Santhenar, in Ian Irvine 's The Well of Echoes quartet It is she who is originally in charge of the investigation of the conspiracy to find Tiaan Liise-Mar. After the arrival of Perquisitor Jal-Nish Hlar, Fyn-Mah becomes second in command and accompanies him, Irisis Stirm, Cryl-Nish Hlar, among others, on the mission to recover Tiaan and her precious Amplimet. After Jal-Nish is mutilated in a battle with the lyrinx, Ryll, Fyn-Mah takes over leadership of the mission. Lyrinx are fictional humanoids in Ian Irvine 's quartet The Well of Echoes. Ryll is a main character in Ian Irvine 's The Well of Echoes quartet Nish develops an interest in the lyrinx's flesh-forming (something Fyn-Mah shares interest in) and the Querist decides to give him permission to research this matter. Flesh-forming is a form of the Secret Art, or magic used by the Lyrinx in Ian Irvine 's The Well of Echoes quartet On the journey back to Tiksi, it is revealed that Fyn-Mah is in fact barren, incapable of having children, something she had always dreamed of.

Tetrarch

Xervish Flydd, Irisis Stirm and Ullii venture to Gospett and discover that Fyn-Mah has been transferred there and made a Perquisitor on Flydd's recommendations. Ullii is one of the main characters in Ian Irvine 's The Well of Echoes quartet

Fyn-Mah provides Flydd with invaluable information about the exact whereabouts of the node at Snizort and later informs Nish and Minis that Flydd has gone to destroy the node-drainer in place there. Minis is a main character in Ian Irvine 's The Well of Echoes quartet During the Well of Echoes series by Ian Irvine, many different weapons are used by the different species of Santhenar and Aachan. Minis has a terrible vision of the death of one of Nish's friends and Fyn-Mah quickly snaps him out of the fit that occurred at the same time.
