Fueled By Ramen is a record label started by John Janick and Vinnie Fiorello (drummer and lyricist of Less Than Jake) in August of 1996 in Gainesville, Florida. Vinnie Fiorello is the Drummer, Lyricist and founding member of the Ska punk band Less Than Jake. Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz III (born June 5, 1979) is an American Musician and Songwriter, most famous for his work with the A bass player (bassist is a Musician who plays a Double bass, Bass guitar, keyboard bass or wind Fall Out Boy is an American Pop punk band from Wilmette, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago) that formed in 2001 Decaydance Records is the Vanity label of Pete Wentz (of Fall Out Boy) Since its inception, FBR has released over 100 different albums and has grown from two to over fifteen employees.

The label's name is a reference to ramen, "Fueled By Ramen" most likely meaning such a situation that ramen is the best available food; thus, literally fueled by ramen. is a Japanese Noodle dish that originated in China. It tends to be served in a meat-based broth and uses toppings such as,, Kamaboko, green onions

Fueled By Ramen moved to Tampa, Florida in the latter half of 2004. At the beginning of 2007, FBR opened an office in New York. [1] FBR is currently looking into offices in Chicago and plans to start a base there.


On December 22, 2006, Vinnie Fiorello announced on his blog that he had left Fueled By Ramen, claiming that, as the label grew, "style was outweighing substance.
