Fred Rose died in Nashville in 1954 and was interred there in the Mount Olivet Cemetery. Mount Olivet Cemetery is a 250 acre (1 km² Cemetery located in Nashville Tennessee. His son, Wesley Rose, would take over the presidency of the company and continue to build on his father's success. Wesley Rose (born February 11, 1918 - April 26, 1990) was an American music industry executive and Record producer.

On its founding in 1961, Fred Rose was made a charter member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is located at 222 Fifth Avenue South in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1970 and into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1985.
