A Hereford native, Ford was the son of Jesse Ford (1894-1969)[1] and the late Mrs. Ford. As a teenager, Ford worked in a grocery store in Hereford. In 1999, Ford sold Arrowhead Mills to the Hain Celestial Group of Melville, New York, which maintains its public relations office in Boulder, Colorado.
