Francis Stewart, 5th Earl Bothwell (1562 - 1612) was a nephew of James Hepburn, the fourth Earl Bothwell, and a grandson of James V of Scotland. James Hepburn 1st Duke of Orkney (c 1534 – 14 April 1578) better known by his inherited title as 4th Earl of Bothwell, was Hereditary Lord High James V (10 April 1512 &ndash 14 December 1542 was King of Scots from 9 September 1513 until his death He became the earl in 1577.
