The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (FWSO) is a symphony orchestra based in Fort Worth, Texas. Fort Worth is the fifth-largest city in the state of Texas and the seventeenth-largest city in the United States.

It gives most of its concerts at the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall, serving as the hall's principal resident company. It also serves as the orchestra for Texas Ballet Theater, Fort Worth Opera, the Southwestern Seminary Oratorio Chorus and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. The Van Cliburn International Piano Competition was first held in 1962 in Fort Worth Texas.

Since 2000, Miguel Harth-Bedoya has been the orchestra's Music Director. Miguel Harth-Bedoya is a Peruvian conductor. A US citizen he is currently Music Director of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra ( Texas
